Drawing of the medieval chapel by George Pye before it was altered

The property is on the site of the medieval chapel of St Leonard and the later Osgodby Hall, but the excavation of foundations for an extension did not reveal anything of archaeological significance. The removal of a wall inside the building brought to light a two-light mullioned window, possibly of 17th century date. The poor condition of this window could perhaps be attributed to the period after 1705 when the Hall was abandoned following the death of its owner.
